| Overview of Centrair. The 5th international airport in Japan, located in Central Japan. |

We take the responsibility as Central Japan's doorway to the sky.
The airport opened on February 17, 2005, connecting the economic sphere of Central Japan, which has accumulated Japan’s representative manufacturing industries beginning with the automobile industry, to various locations in Japan and all over the world. At the same time, it acts as a crucial center for the exchange of people and commodities. |
A genuine maritime airport.
Japan’s 3rd maritime airport after Nagasaki Airport and Kansai Airport. It is situated 35km south of Aichi prefecture’s Nagoya City, on the ocean of Ise Bay of Chita Peninsula’s Tokoname City. It is a top-class airport that parallels Narita International Airport and Kansai International Airport. |
It can operate 24 hours a day.
Planes can take off and land at convenient times of origin or destination.
Freight crafts can take off and land during the night, improving the efficiency of the flow of goods.
|
Planes can fly to more distant cities with the 3,500m long runway.
Thanks to the long runway, planes with more passengers or more freight can directly fly longer distances (East Coast of the U.S.A., Southern Europe, and North Africa). |
