Transport of Large Cargo

There are two transport routes for large cargo both north and south sides of the airport island. Route on the north which passes under the airport access bridge and connecting bridge between the passenger terminal building and the boat terminal, has a height restriction. For transport of very large cargo like B787 components, a new route without height restrictions has been developed on the south.

B787 Aircraft Transport Program

Japan has a large aeronautics industry centered in Aichi Prefecture and has supplied progressively larger amounts of aircraft components to Seattle-headquartered Boeing. When production of the B787 Dreamliner begins, 35% of its components will come from plants in this region. This new air cargo business could contribute to shorter production period and streamlined process compared to cargo vessel which has been primary transportation for aircraft components.
Centrair will support for revolution in cargo logistics.
