Regarding the ban of carrying lighters on board the aircraft
As of August 2007, the carriage of common cigarette lighters* on the US routes, up to one per passenger, is permitted in carry-on luggage. However, lighters with fuel and matches remain banned in checked luggage.
*: Lighters with a flammable liquid reservoir containing unabsorbed liquid fuel (other than liquefied gas), gun lighters and torch lighters that you can adjust the flame size and are often used for pipes and cigars are not permitted on one’s person nor in checked or carry-on baggage. |

- Alcoholic beverages (percentage of alcohol 24%-70%) : Up to 5L per person
- Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals (non-radioactive) : Less than 0.5KG or 0.5L per container, and no more than 2KG or 2L per person.
- Dry ice (Only for keeping perishable foods cold) : Up to 2KG per person
- Gun loader : 5KG, including packaging, per person. Checked luggage only.
- Hair curler : 1 hydrocarbon-charged item per person
