Would you like to travel back to the Meiji Period (1868-1912)? Meiji-Mura (Meiji Village) is a huge outdoor museum with many Meiji-period buildings, trains, hospital, houses, a theater, a restaurant, and more. Surprisingly, most of the buildings displayed are real buildings that were contructed during that time. And visitors can still go in them! You can enjoy taking picture while learning Japan's history. You can rent hakamas and other old-fashioned Japanese clothes for 800 yen, as well as European clothes that were fashionable at the time! Do not forget to bring your camera! Complete your journey to the past by riding the steam train.
★Access: Take the Meitetsu train from Nagoya Station to Inuyama Station (¥550). Then take a bus from the train station to Meiji-Mura bus stop (¥420).
★Ticket price: ¥1,700
Note: please wear your most comfortable clothes and shoes. You will walk a lot.
