Domestic to International

At the Central Japan International Airport, the Arrivals Lobby is located on the second floor, and the Departures Lobby on the third floor. When making a connection from a domestic flight to an international flight, passengers temporarily go to the Arrivals Lobby after retrieving their baggage, and then they proceed with international flight boarding procedures. Passengers should use either the elevator or the escalator to get from the Domestic Arrivals Lobby to the International Departures Lobby.

Domestic Arrivals

Domestic to International (restricted area) Baggage Claim - (2F)

At the Baggage Claim Area, passengers should retrieve their baggage from the carousel displaying their flight number, checking it against their baggage receipt number.

*If you cannot find your baggage or your baggage is damaged, please notify airline staff.

2F: Arrivals (nonrestricted area) Arrivals Lobby - (2F)

After leaving the Domestic Arrivals Lobby, passengers should take the elevator or escalator and proceed to the International Departures Lobby on the third floor.

International Boarding

3F: Departures (nonrestricted area) International Check-In (Boarding Procedures) - (3F)

Come to the third floor Departures Lobby to check in and leave your baggage.

Submit your flight ticket and passport at the counter of your airline.

Leave all baggage except for your carry-on luggage at the counter.

Receive your boarding pass and baggage receipt from the airline staff.

Passengers who are part of a tour should follow the instructions of travel agency staff to finish the procedure.

Domestic to International (restricted area) Security Inspection - (3F)

Please cooperate with luggage inspections and physical screening. These are carried out in order to prevent airplane hijacking.

Remove small objects from your person (keys, wallet, cell phone) and place them either in your carry-on luggage ahead of time or in a tray, and then join the line.

Show your boarding pass to the security staff and put your carry-on luggage through the X-ray scanner.

Walk through the metal detector for physical screening.

*No liquids in excess of 100 mL, including drinks in plastic bottles, may be carried on board airplanes on international flights, with the exception of items purchased at the Duty-Free Shop or elsewhere after completing immigration.

Customs

Customs is a required procedure when taking foreign goods overseas. Passengers to whom this applies should declare these goods at the Customs Counter in the Immigration Area.

Submit your passport and boarding pass to the officer at the Immigration Booth.

*Remove your passport from its cover so that the inspection can proceed smoothly.

Domestic to International (restricted area) Boarding - (3F)

Follow the instructions of the airline staff at the boarding gate in order to board.

*The boarding gate intended for your flight will be determined on the day of the flight. Check the flight information screen or with an airline/travel agency staff member to confirm your boarding gate after you arrive at the airport.
