This is the season when city streets are enveloped in glittering light. Here in the Tokai region as well, a variety of light installations throughout the area brighten the nights. Here we'll take a look at some recommended locations among these – places that are well worth a visit. And showy illumination displays also make great photo spots! Nabana no Sato Illumination

One of the largest-scale displays in Japan!

The Nabana no Sato illumination display boasts a majestic scale and top-notch quality. This year, the annually changing main-theme area features the adorable Kumamon mascot character! The location also features a Tunnel of Light – selected as one of the world's most scenic displays – Water Illumination, and a plethora of other must-see sights. This spot where you can experience first-hand dazzling loveliness beyond imagination is one you won't want to miss.

Traffic congestion is expected during the display period for Nabana no Sato's tremendously popular illumination, especially from November through early January. Entering the park two or three hours before the illumination is turned on at 5:00 pm may be prudent. In the park you can find plenty of fun attractions to pass the time, including colorful autumn foliage from the end of November through early December, a Begonia Garden filled with begonias blooming year-round (separate admission required: 1,000 yen per adult), Nagashima Beer Garden, where you can enjoy local craft beers, and more. When you're planning your visit, we recommend allowing plenty of time for contingencies.
