Traffic congestion is expected during the display period for Nabana no Sato's tremendously popular illumination, especially from November through early January. Entering the park two or three hours before the illumination is turned on at 5:00 pm may be prudent. In the park you can find plenty of fun attractions to pass the time, including colorful autumn foliage from the end of November through early December, a Begonia Garden filled with begonias blooming year-round (separate admission required: 1,000 yen per adult), Nagashima Beer Garden, where you can enjoy local craft beers, and more. When you're planning your visit, we recommend allowing plenty of time for contingencies.
