Suganuma village, Gokayama is a small village in Toyama prefecture, located near Shirakawa-go (Gifu Prefecture). In total, there are twelve houses in the village, and nine of them are Gassho-zukuri (prayer-hands construction) farmhouses. Most of the Gassho-zukuri farmhouses were built during the late Edo period. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around this beautiful village. (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ
From Nagoya Station, take the JR limited express train Shirasagi bound for Takaoka Station (3 hours 15 minutes). From Takaoka, take a bus bound for Gokayama (2 hours).
