Notice regarding measures and restrictions for the novel coronavirus infections

At Chubu Centrair International Airport, we will endeavor to cooperate with related organizations such as the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and airport operators. For passengers arriving at Chubu Centrair International Airport, please check the contents below for their understanding and cooperation.

【Notice from Immigration Services Agency of Japan】
From 13 February 2020, at 0:00 a.m.(JST), the following people are not permitted to enter Japan for the time being unless there are exceptional circumstances.

  • ・Non-Japanese citizens who have travelled to Hubei or Zhejiang Province in the People's Republic of China within 14 days before arriving Japan.
  • ・Non-Japanese citizens who have Chinese passports issued by Hubei or Zhejiang Province in the People's Republic of China

In addition, foreign nationals who were on the cruise ship Westerdam, which departed from Hong Kong, and who have already disembarked will also be unable to enter Japan unless warranted by special circumstances.

【Travelers from China (Including Hong Kong and Macau) Entering Japan】
  • ・Please notify Quarantine Officers if you have been in Hubei or Zhejiang Province in the last 14 days.
  • ・Report to Quarantine officers when entering the country if you have a cough, fever or other symptoms, or if you are taking cough medicine or an antipyretic (fever reducing medicine).
  • ・If you have developed the abovementioned symptoms after entering Japan and you have been in or traveled through Hubei or Zhejiang, before going to a medical clinic for a diagnosis, please notify the clinic that you have been to those provinces and wear a mask when you go. When you arrive, show your health declaration card and report your travel history (health declaration cards are distributed on board your aircraft).



【Preventing the Spread of Infection in the Airport】
・To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we encourage staff to wear masks at the airport.
・Alcohol disinfectants are installed at various locations in the terminals.
・Cleaning disinfection of door knobs, handrails (including moving walkways / escalators) and baggage cart handles in the terminals.
・Tasting and free samples will temporarily removed to prevent infection.
・ Following strengthen measures for the prevention of infectious diseases, some events migth be cancelled, posponed or altered.

For the prevention of novel coronavirus infections, as well as seasonal flu and colds, it is very important to cover your mouth when coughing and to wash your hands. We encourage all travellers and visitors to follow these measures against infectious diseases.
