AQUAIGNIS

"AQUAIGNIS" is a hot spring resort complex located at the foot of Mt. Gozaisho in "Yunoyama." In its stylishly designed facilities, you can indulge in "food" and "healing." There are also many sites that are worthy of posting to Instagram. Furthermore, in winter you can experience strawberry picking!

1At the very least, you can't go wrong experiencing the Instagram-worthy architecture!

Located at the foot of Mt. Gozaisho, Yunoyama is a historical hot springs town that has flourished for many years. Founded years ago, the stylish "AQUAIGNIS" hot spring resort is popular not just with Japanese visitors, but also foreign tourists who enjoy the resort's core concepts of "food" and "healing."

From the Kintetsu Yunoyama Onsen station, take a short walk in the opposite direction from Mt. Gozaisho and the old hot spring town to find the area with the stylish buildings! The buildings, mostly restaurants, and the pond create a scene of idyllic harmony. When the pond freezes and is covered with snow, the scene becomes truly magical as Mt. Gozaisho serves as the backdrop.

Across the pond on the east side, the building on the right is the hot spring bath. The design will make you reconsider what you think of hot spring baths! This is a very popular, Instagram-worthy spot.

This is what Aquaignis looks like from above. You can capture Instagram-worthy pictures from the area in the middle of the pond. Also, strawberries are grown in the greenhouses on the right. The strawberries grown here are used in the sweets sold on-site, and of course you can also enjoy strawberry picking as well.

2Our menus, keeping with the theme of "Food," are produced by renowned chefs and they will look great on Instagram!

World-renowned chef Hironobu Tsujiguchi is extensively involved with the restaurants at Aquaignis. There are reasonably-priced restaurants to enjoy, so you can feel free to enjoy the many flavors that Japan has to offer. And of course, the food and the restaurant interiors will look great on Instagram!

At the bakery, the many sweets include cakes and baked goods. There are tables available, so you can eat your purchased sweets right away! And don't forget to show your Instagram followers!

The Italian restaurants are also worthy of Instagram. There is a limited-time event going on right now, so the drinks in the picture above can be enjoyed until the end of March, coinciding with "Strawberry Fair 2018."

This is Japanese cuisine. There are 2 Japanese restaurants on-site, both featuring the subtle, delicate flavors of traditional Japanese cooking. Prepared by famous Japanese chefs, both restaurants feature reasonably-priced, appetizing menus.

3The outdoor bath, surrounded by a bamboo thicket, can also be used by visitors not staying overnight. Enjoy a great time of "healing" in a hot spring of beauty!

While still a traditional hot spring bath, it offers a modern, stylish take. The bath uses 100% pure mountain spring water, without any added water or artificial heating. The alkalinity of the natural water will leave your skin feeling smooth and silky long after getting out of the bath; giving meaning to the term "Hot Spring Beauty." Even those taking a one-day trip can use the bath, so relax and heal at your own pace.

Being able to see the bamboo thicket from the outdoor bath, you might think you were visiting a Japanese garden. Use of the bath costs 600 yen, and you can purchase a towel for an additional 200 yen.

With modern, stylish designed buildings worthy of Instagram, you might doubt you were at a hot spring. The interior is stylish as well, featuring works by famous artists in the Entrance Hall.

4Let's pick strawberries at a strawberry farm managed by a famous pastry chef!

The on-site strawberry farm takes particular care in strawberry cultivation by using organic fertilizer and a reduced amount of pesticides. The strawberries grown here are not only used in the sweets made in the bakery, but also can be enjoyed by those participating in the strawberry picking.

The popular strawberry picking can be enjoyed from December to May, and it includes all-you-can-eat strawberries for 40 minutes. Pricing starts at 1500 yen and changes depending on the season, so please be aware.

With stylishly designed spaces, delicious yet affordable cuisine prepared by famous chefs, 100% natural outdoor hot spring baths, and even strawberry picking, Aquaignis is a trip worth showing your friends on Instagram. Whether you are stopping by on the way back from playing in the snow on Mt. Gozaisho or coming all the way from Nagoya just to check it out, definitely get out here and see what it's all about! For those who want to relax at their own pace, you can stay overnight as lodging is available!
