Chubu Centrair International Airport joins the member of prestigious 5-Star Airports

In November, 2018, Chubu Centrair International Airport has received a 5-star rating as proof that its airport facilities and staff provide a service of the highest international standard through an examination of roughly 500 evaluation criteria by SKYTRAX (*1).
Last year, Centrair became the world's first regional airport (*3) entering the 5 Start Airport (*2) rank, and has made another world wide first by being ranked 5 Star Airport for a second consecutive year. We, the airport staff, will aim to reach greater heights to further please our customers.

Skytrax (Britain) was founded in 1989 as an air transport rating agency. It analyzes quality standards of more than 550 airports in the world from the viewpoint of customer satisfaction.
Others in the 5-Star Airport club are Singapore Changi Airport (Singapore), Seoul Incheon International Airport (South Korea), Munich Airport (Germany), Tokyo Haneda International Airport (Japan), Hong Kong International Airport (Hong Kong), and Hamad International Airport (Qatar).
The 5-Star Regional Airport rating covers airports located in non-capital areas and focusing on short- or medium-distance route operations. They are airports other than those acting as global mega hubs operating long-distance international flights.
