Bon Festival

Every Year in July
Terminal 1, 4th Floor, Sky Deck

Notice of cancelation

Following the current measures for the prevention of infectious diseases this event has unfortunately been cancelled.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for you understanding.

The summer sees the Sky Deck transform into a Bon Festival venue at Centrair. This is the only place in the world where you can participate in Bon Festival dancing while watching airplanes. At this event, a total of 6,000 people attend over two days, with people from the local city of Tokoname and from the distant areas such as Gifu Prefecture and Mie Prefecture attending one large Obon Festival.

Event Highlights

At the base of the Sky Deck, a special fence (Yagura) is assembled. Beyond it, you can watch planes taking off and landing.

There is a free dressing service and a free cloakroom available, so everyone can feel free to join. If you come to the airport wearing a yukata, you will also receive special benefits from the airport stores.

In-case of bad weather, it will be held at Center Pier Garden.
