Centrair Group (which comprises Central Japan International Airport Co., Ltd.; Centrair Energy Supply Co., Ltd.; Centrair Information & Communications Network Co., Ltd.; Centrair Passenger Service Co., Ltd.; and Centrair Facility Service Co., Ltd.) obtains information from which specific individuals can be identified (including information that can be cross-checked with other information to identify specific individuals; hereinafter, "Personal Information") from passengers and other users of the airport that is necessary for the establishment and management of the Chubu Centrair International Airport. In addition to complying with the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations, Centrair Group shall handle all Personal Information in an appropriate manner and comply with a basic policy on the protection of Personal Information whose terms have been stipulated and published below.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  1. Centrair Group complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, as well as all other relevant laws and regulations, guidelines, and the terms of this Privacy Policy, in the course of obtaining, using, or otherwise handling the Personal Information of users.
2. Acquisition of Personal Information
  1. (1) Information concerning individuals obtained by Centrair Group includes their name, date of birth, gender, nationality, occupation, title, address, phone number(s), fax number(s), email address(es), photo(s), video(s), voice recording(s), etc., as well as other individual identification codes, such as their driver's license number, passport number, etc.
  2. (2) Centrair Group shall obtain Personal Information to the extent necessary for its business operations through lawful and fair means (refer to the table for more information). Unless otherwise permitted by law, the consent of users shall be obtained in advance for the acquisition of Personal Information.
  3. (3) In addition to obtaining Personal Information directly from users, Centrair Group may also obtain Personal Information through its provision by third parties.

3. Specification of the Purposes of Use
  1. (1) Centrair Group shall use all Personal Information obtained from users within the scope of the purposes of use stipulated in the table. In addition, in the event that Personal Information is obtained directly from users in writing, such as through an agreement, etc., the purposes of use shall be disclosed to the user in advance.
  2. (2) In the event of any addition of new purposes of use or revision of the purposes of use in the preceding item, the new/revised purposes of use shall be announced or notified accordingly via Centrair Group's designated method.
4. Security Control Measures
Centrair Group strives to keep all Personal Information of users accurate and up to date, and it shall adopt the following organizational, personnel-related, physical, and technical security control measures to ensure the safe management of Personal Information by protecting it from any unauthorized access, tampering, leakage, loss, or damage.

  1. (1) Organizational security control measures
     In addition to appointing a person in charge of the handling of Personal Information, Centrair Group shall clearly designate the employees who may handle Personal Information as well as the scope of the Personal Information handled by such employees and establish a system for reporting to the person-in-charge in the event of any signs or facts that suggest a violation of the law or handling regulations.
  2. (2) Personnel-related security control measures
     Centrair Group shall conduct regular training for employees on the points to note regarding the handling of Personal Information and include the necessary provisions concerning the non-disclosure of Personal Information in the Employment Regulations.
  3. (3) Physical security control measures
     Centrair Group shall implement access control of employees for rooms in areas where Personal Information is handled, restrict the equipment, etc., that employees may bring into such areas, and adopt the necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized personnel from viewing personal data. In addition, Centrair Group shall adopt the necessary precautions to prevent the theft or loss of equipment, electronic media, documents, etc., that contain personal data, as well as to ensure that Personal Information is not easily divulged in the course of transporting such equipment, electronic media, etc., including within the company premises.
  4. (4) Technical security control measures
      Centrair Group shall implement access control to limit the number of persons-in-charge and the scope of Personal Information databases, etc., handled by them. In addition, Centrair Group shall introduce systems to protect information systems that handle Personal Information from unauthorized software and unauthorized access by external parties.
5. Personal Data
  1. Centrair Group collects and uses information from which no specific individual can be identified, including cookies, attribute information, website activity history, browsing history, purchase history, etc. (hereinafter, "Personal Data"), through the website operated by Centrair Group, for the purposes of analyzing user demographics, developing products and services that meet the interests and preferences of users, as well as advertising and recommending new products and services. Such Personal Data may be provided to third parties within the scope of the aforementioned purposes.

6. Retention Period
Centrair Group shall stipulate a retention period for the Personal Information of users within the range necessary to achieve the purposes of use and promptly delete this information once the retention period has elapsed or when the purposes of use have been achieved. However, this shall not apply in the following situations.
  1. (1) When the information is required to be preserved in accordance with the provisions of existing laws and regulations
  2. (2) When the consent of the individual(s) in question has been obtained
7. Supervision of Employees
    Centrair Group shall supervise its employees in the necessary and appropriate manner to ensure the safe management of the Personal Information of users. In addition, Centrair Group shall conduct the necessary training and education for its employees to ensure the appropriate handling of all Personal Information.
8. Supervision of Contractors
    Centrair Group may outsource, either wholly or in part, the handling of Personal Information in relation to the sale and reception of various products and services, administrative operations for events, research operations, and other business operations, within the scope of the purposes of use. In such cases, Centrair Group shall select a contractor that is recognized as being able to handle the Personal Information appropriately; include the necessary provisions on security control, non-disclosure, and other matters concerning the handling of Personal Information in the outsourcing agreement; and exercise the necessary and appropriate supervision.
9. Provision to Third Parties
Centrair Group shall not disclose or provide any Personal Information it has obtained to third parties (including parties located outside of Japan) without the prior consent of the user(s) in question. However, this shall not apply in the following situations.

  1. (1) Disclosure or provision is required by law
  2. (2) Disclosure is required to protect an individual's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the user(s) in question
  3. (3) Disclosure is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the user(s) in question
  4. (4) Disclosure is required to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or an individual entrusted by a national agency or local government in their execution of legally prescribed affairs, and obtaining the consent of the user(s) in question may hinder the execution of such affairs
  5. (5) Customer consent has been obtained
  6. (6) If a third party is required to address the feedback, request, or inquiry submitted by a user, and Centrair Group relays the content of the feedback, request, or inquiry to the party in question (The user's name, address, age, date of birth, gender, phone number, fax number, email address, as well as the content of the feedback, request, or inquiry, may be provided to the third party by phone, fax, email, post, etc.)
10. Joint Usage
(1) Centrair Group shall jointly use the Personal Information of users among Centrair Group companies within the scope of the following purposes.

  1. 1 To conduct market research and data analysis for the purpose of research and development of new products and services
  2. 2 To provide information on products and services through the use of direct mail, etc.
  3. 3 To relay or forward the necessary information to the relevant company when a user submits an inquiry, usage application, or other requests regarding the products and services offered by companies under Centrair Group
  4. 4 To carry out other transactions with users in an appropriate and smooth manner
  5. 5 To ensure smooth communication between various members of the staff
  6. 6 To perform various tasks related to HR management

(2) The management representative for Centrair Group overseeing the joint usage of Personal Information shall be the President & Representative Director of Central Japan International Airport Co., Ltd.
11. Anonymized Information
  1. (1) Centrair Group may, in accordance with laws and regulations, prepare and use information concerning individuals that has been obtained by processing Personal Information in a manner that ensures specific individuals cannot be identified and prevents such Personal Information from being restored (hereinafter, "Anonymized Information").
  2. (2) Centrair Group shall adhere to the standards stipulated by the Personal Information Protection Commission in the course of preparing Anonymized Information. In addition, with regard to the preparation and handling of Anonymized Information, Centrair Group shall implement the appropriate security control measures that are commensurate with the respective risks for each stage of handling Anonymized Information, including access control based on identification and authentication, prevention of unauthorized access by external parties, and encryption of information during its transfer and transmission.
  3. (3) Anonymized Information prepared by Centrair Group shall be provided to third parties through safe and appropriate means only after it has been clearly indicated that the information in question is Anonymized Information. Please refer to "Preparation and Provision of Anonymized Information to Third Parties" for more information on the kinds of information contained in the Anonymized Information prepared by Centrair Group, the kinds of information contained in the Anonymized Information provided to third parties, and the means through which it is provided.
12. Pseudonymized Information
  1. (1) Centrair Group may, in accordance with laws and regulations, prepare and use information concerning individuals that has been processed in a manner that ensures specific individuals cannot be identified unless it is cross-checked with other information (hereinafter, "Pseudonymized Information").
  2. (2) In handling Pseudonymized Information, Centrair Group shall not use the information beyond the scope of the purposes of use stipulated in "3. Specification of the Purposes of Use" without the consent of the user(s) in question. In addition, Centrair Group shall not use the contact information or any other information contained in Pseudonymized Information to make telephone calls, send letters by post or through correspondence delivery, send telegrams, deliver information via electronic means, or visit the residence of the user(s) in question.
  3. (3) Except for the purposes stipulated in "10. Joint Usage," Centrair Group shall not provide Pseudonymized Information to any third party.
  4. (4) Centrair Group shall adhere to the standards stipulated by the Personal Information Protection Commission in the course of preparing Pseudonymized Information. In addition, Centrair Group shall implement the appropriate security control measures and exercise the necessary and appropriate supervision for the preparation and handling of Pseudonymized Information.
  5. (5) Centrair Group shall promptly erase all personal data that is Pseudonymized Information as well as all deleted information (e.g., information deleted from the Personal Information used to prepare the Pseudonymized Information), etc., once there is no longer any need to use this information.
13. Procedures for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, Suspension of Provision to Third Parties, etc.
In the event that Centrair Group receives a request from a user through the prescribed method for the disclosure, correction, deletion, addition, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, or disclosure of records of provision to third parties of the Personal Information of the user in question stored in databases owned by Centrair Group, Centrair Group shall verify that the individual who has made the request is the user in question and respond as follows within a reasonable time frame and scope in accordance with laws and regulations.

  1. 1 Requests for disclosure or disclosure of records of provision to third parties
     Centrair Group shall disclose the items of Personal Information, the purposes of use, or the records of provision to third parties, as requested by the user.
  2. 2 Requests for correction, deletion, or addition
     Centrair Group shall review the details of the request and make corrections, deletions, or additions to the content of the user's Personal Information accordingly, to the extent appropriate and possible.
  3. 3 Requests for suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties
     Centrair Group shall suspend the use or the provision to third parties of the items of Personal Information specified by the user, or erase this information if so requested by the user, to the extent appropriate and possible and in accordance with the details of the request.

  4. Before submitting a request, please note that the suspension of use or erasure of Personal Information may preclude the provision of services that were previously available or services that would meet the user's needs.
    In addition, Centrair Group may not be able to fulfill the customers’ requests if compliance with such requests would seriously impact Centrair Group’s business operations, result in a violation of laws and regulations, or disrupt the safety management of personal information.

    In addition to the above identification documents, the following documents under ① or ② must be submitted.
    ① In the case of a statutory representative: A transcript of the family register, the adult guardianship registration certificate, or any other document that certifies the applicant as the statutory representative of the individual in question
    ② In the case of an authorized proxy: An authorization letter that designates the applicant as the authorized proxy of the individual in question

    In principle, a disclosure notice will be sent by mail within two weeks of receipt of the request form from the user. In the event of a decision not to disclose the information, the user will be notified accordingly with the reason provided. Please note that it may not be possible to respond to the request within the above time frame in cases where additional time is required for investigation owing to the details of the request or if the documents submitted are incomplete.

    15. Measures in the Event of an Incident

    In the event of an incident involving the leakage or suspected leakage of Personal Information, Centrair Group shall investigate the facts and causes of the incident, implement measures aimed at preventing secondary damage and recurrence, and take the appropriate action.

    Centrair Group strives to continuously improve its handling of Personal Information internally by establishing internal regulations for the protection of Personal Information, training its employees, and conducting internal audits.
