Cherry Blossom | Minami Shinshu

Zousenji Temple

The pale ink cherry blossoms wrapping around the temple like a pink veil have a history of 300 years, and Zouzenshi Temple itself has a history of 1200 years!

Kinehara School

The cherry trees in front of the former Yamamoto Junior High Kinehara School are about 80 years old. Uji-nori sakura

It is said to have been planted in 1909 (Meiji 42) as a commemorative tree for the enrollment of the Uji-nori branch school of the Takagi Second Elementary School, which was located here at that time. The tree is over 100 years old. Some of its drooping branches extend over 5 meters, giving it an impressive appearance. Its deep red petals are beautifully captivating to those who see it.
