In light of the commencement of the "Decade of Action" at the 2020 United Nations SDGs Summit aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, we, the Chubu Centrair International Airport Group, designated 2021 as the "Centrair SDGs First Year." We have placed SDGs at the core of our management to achieve a balance between strengthening our business foundation and contributing to society.
Particularly recognizing the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as a crucial global challenge contributing to climate change, we declared "Centrair Zero Carbon 2050" and formulated the "Chubu International Airport Decarbonization Promotion Plan" based on the "Basic Policy for Promoting Aviation Decarbonization" announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in December 2022. In December 2023, we received certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and have been actively promoting initiatives with the collaboration of airport stakeholders.
Looking beyond the SDGs (2030) towards sustainability, we have established a "Sustainability Basic Policy" consisting of seven items: "Relationship with Customers," "Relationship with the Local Community," "Conservation of the Earth's Environment," "Collaboration with Partners," "Respect for Employees," "Trust from Shareholders and Investors," and "Corporate Governance." We are committed to contributing to the sustainable development of society and the planet.
