About Passenger Self-Checks

FAQ

I have metal (bolt, metal plate, wire, etc.), pacemaker, or artificial joint embedded in my body, can I pass the security check?

If you inform the inspectors when you arrive at the security check site, they will not conduct the security check using a metal detector, but by physical screening (physical screening is conducted by hand).
Please present papers such as a medical certificate to make the inspection go smoothly.

I am in the third month of pregnancy, will the security check have any effect on my body?

There is no danger to your body from the metal detectors used in screening. Your baggage will need to be X-rayed.
If you are pregnant and feel some reluctance undergoing metal detector screening, please inform the inspector. You will undergo physical screening by the inspector (screening by the inspector without using a metal detector).

I require a wheelchair and know it will respond to the metal detector. What kind of screening will I undergo?

If you use a wheelchair, you will not be able to pass through the metal detector at the security inspection site, as such we will conduct an inspection without using it.
You will undergo physical screening by the inspector (screening by the inspector without using a metal detector).

Can I pass the security inspection while wearing a wig, piercing, etc.?

If the metal detector detects the metal, you will undergo a physical screening by the inspector (screening by the inspector without using the metal detector).
